With a sharpie on the outside of the box, please write: Attn. Repair No. 00#. This helps us organize the PS3s as they come in, failure to do this could result in delays. Doing this helps us sort through the piles of boxes so we can process your repair efficiently!
(Example: If you bought PS3 YLOD Repair Service Level Two, that is {repair no. 002}<-- so write this on the box).

2nd- After we receive your unit we will shoot you an email and/or twitter update. Then we will preform the service(s) you have ordered, typically in the time stated in the listing or better.

3rd- We will then return your unit to you via UPS Ground with Pack n Ship Promise and $300 in insurance.

We don't want to waste your time or money so if we can't fix your PS3 you still have options! Below are the options you have if your PS3 cannot be repaired.

You will receive an email like this in the event we cannot repair your unit.

Unfortunately we could not repair your unit. The good news is at this point you still have options:

1. Return It | We can return your unit. We will then issue a refund after you confirm that your PS3 was received. The refund is issued according to the terms and conditions that you signed when you sent your PS3 to us.

2. Cash For Parts | We will give you a full refund refund and $50.00 cash for the savable parts of your unit via PayPal. This is a nice and clean transaction plus you don't have to mess with stupid rebate cards or gift cards like other trade in programs. Just your money back and $50.00.

3. Trade Rebate Program| With this option, we will use your dead unit to get you a great deal on a Brand New 160 GB slim. This is a brand new unit with the original packaging and documentation. It includes the unit, power cable, AV cables, manual and is in the original box. It has a year long manufacture warranty. This way you don't have to worry about if it is refurbished or dirty or what the cosmetic condition is or who used it before you. It also comes with a lifetime 20% discount on all of our services, should you ever need them. So, if after 2 years, you think it is running to hot, you get 20% off our cleaning and maintenance service. Ever get the YLOD again, you get 20% off and so on.

Here is how this works. First you pay a total of $250.00. Then we will ship you a new slim within 2-4 days of completing the payment. When you receive your slim a rebate form will be included in the box. You will need to fill out this form and send it back to us via scanned in email or regular mail. We will then issue you a rebate, via PayPal, for what you already paid for the repair service and $50.00 minus shipping cost.

Here is an example of how this works: Say you paid $80.00 for your service and you want the Trade Rebate Program. We will send you an invoice for $250.00. Once it is paid we will ship out a new slim within 2-4 days. When you receive it just fill out the rebate form and email or mail it back. Then after we receive it, we will issue you a rebate of $115.00 ($80*what you already paid* + $50 *for your old unit* - $15.00 *postage* = $115.00). If you have any questions about this, please let us know.

Regardless of the option you choose we will return your hard drive and any game that was in the system upon request!
We fix 96.5% of units we receive regardless of what happened to them before. So most people will never have to worry about this. In the event that you are in the 3.5% that cannot be repaired, here is how refund are issued.

Shipping costs are a consumable cost. They are not paid to us, but to third party companies. Once used they cannot be refunded or reimbursed

If your unit has a factory warranty seal, and your unit cannot be repaired we will issue you a full refund and return it to you for free.

If your unit does not have a factory warranty seal, we reserve the right to withhold the cost of postage for shipping. "We reserve the right" means we charge this based on the circumstance. (aka if you burnt your PS3 to death, melted something in it, took a chain saw to it, let a chipmunk live in it for six months etc.)

We have found that many units that do not have a factory warranty seal have been destroyed by a self or third party repair or bad cleaning. (We have seen 100s of PS3s, we can tell.) In this case, the unit cannot be repaired because you or a third party. Not because of our inability to fix the unit, and so there is a non refundable fee. We think this is fair and not excessive. In this way, you do not feel scammed, but we are able to cover our bare minimum costs. Many other repair shops have a similar policies. 

Look at it this way: if someone made a youtube video telling everyone that pouring beer in the crankshaft of their car was a great way to increase performance and you poured beer in your car and it broke (It would break your engine because you would be introducing water into the crank shaft, not good). Then you took it to a mechanic and he spent 3 hours trying to fix it and flush out the beer unsuccessfully, you would still have to pay for his labor even though he didn't fix your car. Because you were the one that totaled your car in the first place. This is the same thing as taking a heat gun to your PS3.

We do not always withhold these amounts from a refund, but we reserve the right to.
PS3 Repair Warranty Terms and Conditions
Repair Service Limited Warranties
- Warranty length is stated in the product description.
- Shipping costs are covered for the first 45 days after a repair. After the first 45 day period no shipping costs are covered in the warranty and they are non reimbursable. In the event that warranty service is needed after the first 45 days of the warranty all shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
- A "limited" warranty simply means that it only covers the error or issue that was fixed during the service. Not the whole unit and all possible issues or errors. So the YLOD repair warranty does not cover your blu-ray drive and vice versa, etc.
- This is a labor warranty; it does not cover any parts. These warranties are not insured; they have no cash value or backing. In the event of closure, insolvency, sale, restructuring and merger of Endless Electronics LLC all warranties are void.
- The warranty cannot be transferred to another unit or owner.
- The warranties do not cover user neglect. In the case of neglect, Endless Electronics is not obligated to honor the warranty or any other promise or benefit. Neglect includes but is not limited to the following situations: Allowing the PS3 to become unusually dusty or dirty, spilling liquid on or in the unit, having dry and cracked thermal paste, allowing the unit to overheat for extended periods of time, and neglecting to perform other general maintenance. Neglect must be apparent explicit and the burden of proof is on Endless Electronics LLC before a warranty service can be denied.
YLOD Limited Warranties
- YLOD warranties cover the error known as the Yellow Light of Death (aka. YLOD).
- In the event your unit suffers another YLOD Endless Electronics LLC will fix it at no additional cost.
- Lifetime is based on the current configuration of the console. The units are considered new or different if any part or repair must take place other than a warranty repair. Once a unit is 'new' the lifetime warranty is expired.
- Shipping is not included in the warranty.
- Although it is rare, the YLOD can be caused by other factors such as a bad power supply, power surge, static electricity and bad RAM (TOKIN chips). These cases are not included in the warranty
Overheating Warranties
- Overheating warranties cover the unit's ability to properly release heat.
- In the event your unit is overheating Endless Electronics LLC will repair it at no additional cost.
- The unit must be sent during the first signs of overheating. If the unit is allowed to overheating for an extended period of time Endless Electronics LLC is not responsible for the resulting damage.
- The warranty does not include or cover the thermal sensor of the PS3. In the event that this is malfunctioning the warranty is void.
- Shipping is not included in the warranty.

Terms and Conditions of The Service
I. I have fully read the product or service listing and description. I fully understand what service is to be preformed on my unit and the total cost of the service. I give Endless Electronics LLC permission to break the unit factory seal or any third party seal in order to preformed the authorized work.
II. I fully understand the warranty terms as stated in this document and the product description. I understand that if I break my warranty sticker I will void my warranty. I understand that I will have to pay for return shipping if I send in a unit with a broken warranty seal or non-matching serial numbers.
III. I understand that if I do not pay in full for any service and shipping fees, after 30 days from the invoice being issued my unit will become the property of Endless Electronics LLC.
IV. I understand that I must redeem a repair service within 60 days of purchase. Endless Electronics is not obligated to honor or refund a service if the unit does not arrive within 60 days after the purchase.
V. I understand that email is our official means of communication and that I am responsible to make sure that my spam filter does not bock email from @endlesselectronics.org email addresses.
VI. I understand that during the repair my unit may not be fixable. Some data may not be recoverable if a unit cannot be fixed. Endless Electronics LLC is not responsible for user data as none of our repairs affect the data contained on the units HDD. Endless Electronics LLC can not be held responsible for damage to my unit, in particular when damage has been done by amateur work. I understand Endless Electronics LLC uses professional equipment and industry standards. I will not accuse Endless Electronics of damaging my unit without proper and explicit evidence.
VII. I understand that certain repairs may require additional repair time. Repair times are not guaranteed and I have the right to request my unit back at any time.
VIII. I understand that negative or neutral feedback, charge-backs, PayPal Protection claims, BBB Claims, A to Z claims or eBay Protection claims will void my warranty as taking such action cuts off Endless Electronics LLC's ability to interact and communicate with me directly.
IX. I understand that if I lie while leaving negative feedback or when referring to Endless Electronics LLC in any public forum, I can be held in violation of slander, liable and other related laws.
X. I will make every effort to work with and contact Endless Electronics if I am not satisfied with my service before leaving negative or neutral feedback or making a claim. I will work with Endless Electronics to find a reasonable resolution if I am not satisfied.
XI. I understand that if a refund is issued it might take 3-5 days to process. This is a PayPal policy. We have no control over this. Although most refunds are processed immediately some, we reserve the right to take up to 30 days to issue a refund.
XII. I understand that if my unit does not have a factory warranty seal I can be charged for return shipping in the event a unit cannot be repaired. Endless Electronics LLC also reserves the right to charge a $15.00 nonrefundable fee from units that do not have a factory warranty seal, in the case that previous work has damaged the unit.
XIII. I understand that if I transport my PS3 out of the country the warranty and all other promises are void. The PS3 must remain in the United States or Canada for the warranty to be valid and honored. US military transportation and PS3s kept on US military installations are an expectation to this rule.
XIV. I understand that scams, bribing for feedback, threats of negative feedback, legal action, dishonesty and disrespect will not be tolerated and will cause us to return your unit immediately.
XV. I have filled this form out honestly and correctly. I have fully understood it.
